Lost City:

I collected a bunch of sandstone rocks from the tributaries of the Shenandoah River, back in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. After building a house for my parents in Mathias, I built a foundation on 38 acres in a place called Lost City, West Virginia. Part of the walls were 16 inches thick solid stone, and others were concrete block faced with 4-6 inch stone. We sold the property in ‘98, three years after moving to Seattle.
